Characteristics of the Marea del Portillo Beach
With 2000 meters of extension Marea del Portillo Beach is located at the entrance of the Sierra Maestra Inlet at a distance of approximately 180 kilometers from the city of Santiago de Cuba and only 75 from Bayamo, the provincial capital of Granma. It is characterized by its fine sands but they are of brown color and not white, like the immense majority of those that are scattered in the rest of the Cuban territory.
Hidden in a cove that shelters it, surrounded by mountains, coconut palms and palm trees, is the exotic Marea del Portillo Beach, with pristine waters and amazing black sands, an ideal gift for those who like rare landscapes.
The visitor will enjoy beautiful landscapes made possible by the confluence of the turquoise blue sea and the green of the nearby mountains. There are numerous opportunities for diving and underwater contemplation.
